Accellion Data Breach - Oregon Update

We previously notified you that Health Net suffered a significant breach in January 2021. One of our vendors, Accellion, was the victim of a cyber attack which compromised Accellion’s file transfer platform. We have been working with a forensic firm since that date to identify affected Health Net Commercial members. 
 
We have now completed our analysis of the data and will be sending letters to affected members within the next week. Some members had personal information, though not their social security numbers, disclosed. Other members had personal information, including their social security numbers, disclosed.
 
We are sending each affected member a letter that indicates the type of data that was shared. In addition, we are offering one-year of free credit monitoring to affected members, which includes cyberscan monitoring, identity theft insurance and identity recovery. Details on how members can register for this service are included in the letter.
