OHA Workshop for Providers: Navigating Vaccine Conversations

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is offering a comprehensive workshop designed to equip healthcare providers and immunizers with essential skills for effective vaccine discussions. This program offers an in-depth introduction to the principles of Motivational Interviewing (MI), focusing on its application to conversations about vaccines.

Participants will engage in interactive activities and real-world scenarios that illustrate the core concepts of MI, emphasizing collaboration and empathy. They will learn to skillfully use questions and reflective listening to encourage meaningful dialogue with patients. Additionally, the workshop covers approaches for providing information and advice that align with MI principles, ensuring that interactions are supportive and patient centered.

Continuing medical education: The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) has reviewed Navigating Vaccine Conversations: The Motivational Interviewing Approach and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit.

Reminder: New Trillium Medicaid Prior Authorization Requirements Effective April 1, 2026

As part of our ongoing commitment to quality of care, Trillium is implementing prior authorization requirements for select behavioral health services. This change will help ensure our members receive the right care, at the right time, and at the right level of intensity. In addition, prior authorization enables us to better align services with clinical need, promote consistency across the system, and support care coordination—particularly for members with complex behavioral health needs.

Please review this notice about the prior authorization requirements taking effect on April 1, 2026.

For more information, visit the Frequently Asked Questions section of Trillium's Prior Authorization webpage. If you have additional questions, please contact Trillium Customer Service at 1-877-600-5472 (TTY: 711).

Thank you for your continued collaboration as we work together to strengthen quality and continuity of care for the Trillium members we serve.

For Trillium Medicaid Providers: 2026 CCO Quality Pool Bonus Funds Program

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Quality Incentive Program uses quality metrics to demonstrate how well coordinated care organizations (CCOs) are improving the health of the communities they serve. Incentive metrics are integral to the success of the CCO model, encouraging health plans and their partners to develop innovative approaches to serve Oregon Health Plan members. These metrics measure quality of care, access to care, health equity, and health outcomes for individuals enrolled in CCOs.

Provider partners will receive an email with the "2026 Trillium CCO Quality Pool Bonus Funds Program" document, which includes additional details about eligibility, methodology, measure set, and more.

If you have any questions or would like to request the document, please connect with your Quality contact or send email to: OR_Quality@centene.com.

Thank you!
